The Bangla-O-Biswa General Body meeting as previously announced in advance was virtually held on Thursday, May 29, 2025.

At the GB meeting, the 2024-2025 Bangla-O-Biswa committee concluded their term with a great sense of accomplishment. Utpala Bandyopadhyay, a life member and one of the Trustees, presided over the meeting. At the meeting, all 2024-2025 activities including the Bangla-O-Biswa financial status report was presented in detail and discussed. The members appreciated the Executive Committee (EC)’s work in carrying out the events during the year, raising donations and fundraisers.

Following that, the previous Executive Committee (EC) was dissolved. There were no new nominations for any position for the new Executive committee. The General Body unanimously proposed Mrs. Susmita Ghosh as the President of the new term (2025-2026). Subsequently, Mrs. Susmita Ghosh proposed the other positions for the new term which was approved. The new EC members are: Soumitro Pal(VP), Sagar Dey (Cultural Secretary) Anindya Roychoudhuri(General Secretary) Niloy Choudhuri(Treasurer) Shouvik Chattopadhay and Saimanti Das(Members at Large) and Somdutta Mitra and Santanu Garai(Special Committee Members).
