What is the annual membership fee for being a Bangla-O-Biswa member?
Bangla-O-Biswa offers annual membership. Being a non-profit organization, our aim is to balance our income with our expenditures.
Thus, the membership fee is adjusted every year depending on our expenditures. Membership rates are different for individuals and families.
The current rates may be obtained from our membership page.

How do I become a Bangla-O-Biswa member?
To become a member, you have different options to choose from that best fit your requirements. Payments can either be made by check to “Bangla-O-Biswa” or by cash at the Picnic or Durga Puja event. It can also be bought online.
Checks are to be made payable to “Bangla-O-Biswa” and endorsed as “deposit only” on the back.
Please note that Bangla-O-Biswa does not have a pro-rated membership system. Our membership is for one year and starts on July 1st and ends on June 30th of the following year.

Are concert tickets included in Annual Membership?
Yes, Annual members get free tickets for all concerts during the 2024-2025 Durga Puja on October 4th, 5th and October 6th respectively. Tickets for 2 adults and their kids (upto 18 years) in the General category are included for Family members for each of these events. Tickets for 1 Adult in the General category will be provided for Individual members for each of these events.
The Annual membership price is discounted till October 3rd, 2024. Please get your Annual membership to get free Pousali, Anjan Dutt and Dohar concert tickets for your family and visiting parents.

What events are included in Family or Individual annual membership?
Four Annual events in the membership year between July 2024 and June 2024 is included in the Family or Individual Annual membership
1. Members Appreciation Day (Annual Picnic) 2024
2. Durga Puja 2024
3. Saraswati Puja 2025
4. Basanta Utsav (Spring Festival) 2025
Annual members get free access to all these four events along with Tickets to the Durga Puja concerts on October 4th, 5th and October 6th, 2024

What about tickets for kids? Do I need to buy them separately? Are they included in membership?
Yes, Kids tickets (less than 18 years) are included in the Annual Family membership. They are also included in the Durga Puja packages.

How do you define a Family and Individual in your Durga Puja Packages and Memberships?
A “Family” is defined as Husband, Wife and up to 2 kids below 18 years of age. An Individual is a single individual and up to 2 kids below 18 years of age

I want to only attend Puja but not watch any concerts? What do I buy?
All our Durga Puja packages will allow you to enjoy Puja, Darshan, offer Pushpanjali, Lunch or/and dinner as applicable. Concert Tickets can be added as an Add-On. Visiting Parents can be added as an Add-On. All participants need to pre-register for at least 1-day package.

Will you have baby sitting arrangements?
We are not planning for baby sitters during the concerts on October 4th , 5th and 6th.

What about visiting parents? Do I need to buy tickets for them separately?
Visiting Parents are included in the membership. You do not have to buy tickets for them separately if you are a member. If you are not a member, please buy the Add-ons for your visiting parents.

Do I have to volunteer if I buy Annual membership?
Volunteering is optional. We welcome our annual members to volunteer and participate in all our events. But we understand their priorities and that volunteering might not be possible for some of our members.

Is the picnic a paid event?
The Picnic on August 10, 2024 is free for our Annual members. Non-members will need to pay a nominal fee.

I want to come and just offer Anjali for Durga Puja. Do I need to buy any tickets?
Please buy the Durga Puja passes that are available for offering Anjali.

I have not received any tickets but have a PayPal confirmation. Where do I get tickets after I buy them?
You will collect your physical tickets at the Registration desk. Please bring and show your PayPal confirmation to an associate at our registration desk.

Is food included in the concert ticket price?
Food is not included in show tickets. You will have the option to buy food at the event. Food is included for our VVIP ticket holders.
Food is included in all our Annual membership and Puja packages for Friday, Saturday and Sunday as applicable.

What discounts are available for Annual membership? How long are they available?
The general price for:

Can I participate in Bangla-O-Biswa’s annual events without being a member?
Yes. In order to participate in Bangla-O-Biswa’s events you have to make a contribution to cover our costs by paying the Non-Member fees (minimum One Day Package.

When does Bangla-O-Biswa’s financial year begin?
For tax-filing purposes, Bangla-O-Biswa follows the January to December financial year but the membership year is from July 1st to June 30th of the following year.

When are my membership fees due?
You will have to renew your membership each year. Membership fees for one-time payments are due by Durga Puja of that year.
If you choose to become a Member by event you will have to pay the membership fees during the event plus the fees for those events. Membership fees will have to be paid only once during the membership year.

What are Bangla-O-Biswa events and special events?
Bangla-O-Biswa organizes four regular events during each year:

- Durga Puja
It may also organize special fund-raising events for the relief of distress and other charitable causes involving Bengali and other Indian traditional and contemporary music, drama, and dance performances.
